The Business of Being a Mediator

In this workshop, Elizabeth Rosa, Workplace Mediator and Trainer will be joined by Business Coach, Clare Harris, to look at:

​

• Writing a Business Plan that includes understanding the market and SWOT analysis, defining your point-of-difference and branding, your marketing strategy

• Foundational marketing techniques, such as cold calling, networking, content marketing and how to establish your sales funnel

• Understanding the entrepreneurial journey and how to manage your time and your mindset.

 

Clare will provide information on the practicalities of setting up a business as well as offering tools and tips to manage your actions in the process of growing your business.

 

Elizabeth will talk about her first hand experience of starting her business as a mediator and how she has developed her practice, whilst also working as an educator in the legal and mediation fields.

 

The workshop will also address practice considerations, such as:

 

• How to develop professionally through networking and reflective practice

• Compliance - documents and resources you need to comply with NMAS standards and CPD requirements

• Insurance considerations

• How to deal with complaints
